He summons them, the revelers

He summons them, the revelers
Who brought me here to where I stand.
Come sit by the fire with me,
Atop this peaceful mountain ledge
That overlooks a calm, infinite sea.
Let us reminisce of days past –
Share once more the smiles
Of ages lost, and if it should
Be lost in time eternal,
Smile for me because you could.
Gather here, my dearest friends
And join the revelry at hand
For here, we are together
Momentarily to simply be
Together. Take this crown
For you are royalty to me.
Take thine throne within my heart
For just a moment…just
Enough for me to say hello,
And with a smile, express my
Gratitude. For everything,
For how you have defined who
I am now — My sincere thanks.
